Sirikit Location: Uttradit Operator: Electric Generating Auth of Thailand Configuration: 4 X 125 MW bulb Operation: 1974-1995 T/G supplier: MHI, Melco EPC: Sogreah, Vianini Lavori Quick facts: This 160m high, 800m long earthfill dam about 500km north of Bangkok is Thailand's largest and formed the country's largest lake. The 220km² reservoir on the Nan River feeds a network of irrigation canals. The powerhouse was completed with three sets and provision for a fourth unit. After some years, the fourth machine was authorized and was installed at a cost of ¥4,323mn with funding from JICA. The power station is connected to Phitsnulok substation by a 110km, 230 kV line and to Uttaradit substation by a 60km, 110lkV line. The project was named after the King of Thailand's wife
